Wiping Israel Off The Map
The news lately has been startling--the new President of Iran, Mr. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has been making public pronouncements about Israel that have been remarkable to say the least.
First, he suggested that Israel should be wiped off the map.
Then, in a milder pronouncement according to some, he suggested that room be made in Europe for the Jewish state. When he reached back in history to support the Palestinians, the Israelis reached farther back in history to make their own claims.
Lately, the same gentleman has been suggesting that the Holocaust never took place, and that it is an imaginary event.
On the last pronouncement, while we were living in Germany, we as a family visited Dachau and saw for ouselves what was done to the Jews.
Governments such as Germany and the United States are offering stinging rebukes to the Iranian President.
But that the events take place is not surprising, not at all. There is one prophecy that hints that in the time of the end everyone will turn against the Jewish people. That would seem to be taking place before our eyes.
Further, as the Jewish people are denounced and threated by the Muslim nations, particularly Iran, we are reminded of another Scripture which says, in effect, "I will bless those that bless you (Abraham) and I will curse those that curse you."
Failure to bless the sons of Abraham is to invite divine retribution.
